Roofer in Aurora, CO

Roof repairs, replacements and storm damage work across the older and newer neighborhoods of Aurora.

Local know-how

What we see on Aurora roofs

Aurora covers a lot of ground, and its roofs change as you cross it. Toward the west side, homes are several decades old and many have been reroofed more than once. Farther east, whole subdivisions are new, with complex roofs and builder-grade shingles that are only now showing their age.

The open land to the east leaves many neighborhoods exposed to wind and hail. Wind lifts the edges of shingles and breaks their seal, which leaves them more likely to tear off in the next storm. A roof that has been through a few windy seasons can look fine from the street and still have loose tabs, so an inspection after a big wind event is worth having.

Some newer homes in Aurora have concrete tile roofs. Tile lasts a long time, but individual tiles crack when walked on or hit by hail, and the underlayment beneath them wears out. We repair tile carefully and check the underlayment when we do.

They inspected after the June hail, gave us a photo report and met our adjuster on the roof. They were clear from the start that the claim was ours to file. We went with Class 4 shingles on the new roof.

We got ice dams every winter on the north side. Instead of just selling us heat cable, they fixed the attic ventilation and added insulation. No ice dams this year.

Wind took a section of shingles off at night and rain was coming in. They had a tarp on the next morning once the wind dropped and fixed it properly two days later. Wish it had been sooner, but they explained why.
